Current Peninsular (Akinti Burnu)

Current Peninsular is called Akinti Burnu in Turkish. As the name suggests there are often currents here which makes the spot ideal for current dives. The reef pulls away from the coast in a triangle. On the corners we have steep walls plunging to about 50 metres. Because of the current, the cliffs are covered in sponges of all colours and there are also many shoals of fish including monk fish, bream and in autumn bonitos. In spring numerous Octopuses nest here.
